Миксома представляет собой доброкачественную опухоль сердца, встречающуюся преимущественно в возрасте от 30 до 60 лет. В 75% случаев она поражает левое предсердие. Иногда единственным клиническим проявлением данного заболевания могут быть кардиоэмболические симптомы, которые чаще всего проявляются эмболией сосудов головного мозга. В статье представлены клинические случаи ишемического инсульта, вызванного наличием миксомы левого предсердия.

Myxoma represents a benign tumor of heart which is found mainly in patients from 30 up to 60 years. In 75% of cases it invades the left atrium. Sometimes the only clinical finding is cardiac embolic symptoms which are most frequently noticed like cerebral vessel embolism. Clinical cases with ischemic stroke caused by the left atrium myxoma are presented in this article.
