<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
<title>Objective</title><p>Objective. Review of the screening methods was performed by means of international bases MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus, Central, ISI Web, Google and Goggle Scholar and considering published recommendations of World Wide Organization of Gastroenterology. In most guidelines screening in patients, with mean age 50–75 years, is discussed, and performance of fibrocolonoscopy every 10 years or flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years and annual FOB test are recommended. Differences in guidelines may be referred to intervals between tests and consistency of performed tests.</p>
<title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. Mean recommended age indicated for screening performance is 50–75 years; two-staged screening with FIT at first stage and FCS at second stage represent the most optimal screening pattern.</p>
</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>колоректальный рак</kwd><kwd>скрининг</kwd><kwd>гемокульт-тест</kwd><kwd>гваяковая проба</kwd><kwd>FIT</kwd><kwd>колоноскопия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>colorectal cancer</kwd><kwd>screening</kwd><kwd>hemoccult test</kwd><kwd>guaiac test</kwd><kwd>FIT</kwd><kwd>colonoscopy</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Bénard F., Barkun A.N., Martel M. et al.
