Артериовенозные мальформации – достаточно редкие заболевания, тем не менее иногда вызывающие тяжелые неврологические осложнения и смерть. Чаще всего заболевание манифестирует кровоизлияниями, эпилептическими припадками (в случае интракраниального расположения).

Современные методы диагностики позволяют увеличивать случаи выявления АВМ центральной нервной системы на доклиническом этапе.

В последние годы все больше модернизируются методы хирургического лечения больных АВМ, повышаются возможности внутрисосудистой окклюзии мальформаций, доступность радиохирургии.

Arterio-venous malformations are rather rare findings but sometimes they result in neurologic complications and lethality. These diseases quite often manifest with hemorrhages, cerebral seizures (in cases with intracranial locations).

Modern diagnostic methods allow to diagnose cases with AVM of the central nervous system at pre-clinical stage. Last years we tried to improve methods of surgical treatment in AVM patients, intravascular occlusion and possibility of radiosurgery.
